BIOGRAPHY

Late 19th and Early 20th century French Painter, George Henri Ballot (French, 1866-1942), was a student of William Bouguereau and Tony Robert Fleury at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Ballot was a member of the Societe des artistes francais, and the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts. He exhibited one of his best known portraits (Portrait du peintre Bouduquet) at the Salon des Artistes Francais, in 1929. Ballot is known for portraits, landscapes, seascapes, and oriental scenes.
